Right. It doesn't bother me that we are converting energy from one form to another. Is there any other way to get energy? That it is not cost efficient is worth consideration. But since our big concern is that in time we wont be able to get any fuel, I am ok with exploration into alternatives of all kinds. Gooooo wind mill energy.

The plant that was proposed out here would use corn stalks. That seems like a good idea even if it is expensive. Money is a tricky thing. Space exploration in the 50s seemed way expensive with little return. However, now we have communication satelites that are becoming a cultural institution and the world is a better place for it.

I am all for alternative energy and spending more for it (now) with the hope that our current efforts will provide sustinence for our progeny.
