The rich get richer the poor get poorer
post from Bruce Brown on my board on the FOOL
======================================================
Take a look at the chart I was making reference to (both the current dollars - 2001 at the time - and the adjusted to 2001 dollars in chart 2 as well):

census.gov

Not much progress has been made in household income since 1967 on an adjusted basis for the bottom 4/5ths of the households in America. Which of course supports the theory/reality that the rich get richer and the poor are getting poorer.
