Hello Elmat, If you could specify a time horizon, and if the time horizon is within the year 2004, I will take the bet, you win if the RMB rises 5%, you lose if RMB stays or drops.

I doubt that China needs to keep G7 "quiet". And nothing is stopping China from using all those dollar reserves to buy stuff, both from the US and Japan,Korea and Europe. The view that renminbi will not only not increase in value but will probably decrease in value over the next 5 years, suggests that we have to insist on a fast growth rate in our choice for investments in China, to compensate for the devaluation.
