I don't watch much TV, just usually have the markets or news on in the background ... when I'm not listening to tunes.

But based on my limited knowledge, it seems like $1,800 for a 50" kick-butt TV is going to make that market grow a lot faster. Heck, what do you reckon a 30-40" set will cost?

I think if Intel is getting at least 300-500$ out of that 1800$set, that could mean 5-15$B extra revenue over the next few years. Presumably it would be manufactured on their 130 nm fabs - so the cost of production would have already have been paid for by previous processor shipments.

I am not convinced the market has taken this into account at this point.
