He was known to be associated with the CIA, and was an expert marksman who had no visible means of support and who took extended "vacations" as noted by neighbors in Louisiana and Washington state. Red flag? Sure seems like it. The timing was just entirely too helpful to Karl Rove to create a media frenzy of fear in October when the media would normallly be covering the Congressional races. Replacing the message of the Democrats with one of random terror is a purely Machiavellian maneuver that Karl Rove is noted for, and which is a perfect mimic of the techniques of Nazi Germany and Stalin's totalitarian Soviet regime.
