Seriously, I take his point.

He is being sarcastic. Rush says if the shoe was on the other foot, the Dems would want an investigation, the Media would have got on it day one, and would still be digging.

I don't think Rush is expecting any kind of an investigation. His point was that if Kerry were a republican the dems would be calling for one. He was just trying to be funny. Not sure he succeeded.
