True war heros definitely support Kerry. Only phonies, wackos and chickenhawks diss Kerry. And thanks to your Dad. My Dad was always ashamed that his ship landed in China a week after the Japanese surrendered. Not that he wanted to fight but it was an anti-climax. Kerry could have gotten out of the war but has an amazing true story. All his old boat mates campaign for hm, even Republicans.

Well, your Dad is obviously qualified to make important decisions that you and your peers can only guess at. I would respect but certainly do not agree with "his" choice. Your Dad obviously flew Panthers, Banshees or Cougars then, unless he happened to stumble over into the F-80 or F-86 development programs somehow. Although it never performed up to expectations (...much like John Kerry...), the F7U Cutlass was always a favorite of mine - for looks alone: air-navy.com The Corsairs were definitely cool, my friend in MS broke his by putting a wheel in a pothole - or I'd have a couple of hours in one of the F4Us also. I happen to know Chuck Yeager myself. And, Pappy Boyington, Bob Hoover, Paul Poberezny (..who I've been up with in his P-51F..) and numerous other first class aviators. Nice fraternity to be part of. When are you going to expand your horizons and learn to fly...??? My Dad was a SeaBee assigned to the Batallion Depot in Hawaii, and built or arranged for the construction of airfields and runways for folks like your Dad. Then Dad built dams for TVA, and finally ran the Panama Canal for the better part of 20 years; retiring from the Naval Reserve as a Lt. Commander when nearing his PCCo. retirement. He's certainly my Hero, and he wouldn't have voted for John Kerry on a bet. My Dad never had much respect for some jerk like Kerry, who would leave his wife and kid to go marry some rich (w)itch like the $3/4-Billion Heinz broad. Paraphrasing the old addage; "...Those who fail to learn their History are doomed to have it jammed up their nose; while the ultra-rich Massachusetts SOB strips you (..but not himself..) of the tax breaks you currently enjoy today...!!! Onwards and upwards, aye - Sport. John :-)
