Mornin' zita...what did I give her? Well.....no one else got the same thing.

Back in October or so, I went into a store that looked really interesting, that I had never noticed before. It is owned by a couple of retired anthropologists, and almost everything in their wonderful store are artifacts that they collected over their many years in the field. Masks, drums, paintings, clothing jewelry fromm all corners of the world. A friend of theirs, a woman in her mid-90's was selling her collection of Inuit Eskimo jewelry she had collected in the late 40's and 50's....really beautiful stuff..and very interesting. I bought a bracelet made sections sliced though a walrus tusk, which I gave Yen for Christmas, when I saw how much she loved it, I went and bought a necklace which is like a string a pearls, but they are also made of walrus tusk..

Both are in a published book on Inuit jewelry..I'm going to get her the book also...

She had both on when she left for work this morning.. )
