Kerry is his own man, owned and indebted to no one. I did some fundraising for him and mnet with his head finance guy. The first thing he told me was that any check gets returned no matter how big if the donor even hints he wants anything in return. There are very strict and ethical about this. Compare to the Bush-cheney campaign which rakes in millions from the same corporate interests they allow to write legislation. Energy, HMO's, Pharmas, polluters, etc. Kerry would never tolerate such outright corruption. A big part of the problem is also Tom delay. His first act in congress in 2002 was to do away with the rule requring congressmen to report gifts from lobbyists. Corruption Inc.
