Medicare/Medicaid does not have complete price control authority, and doctors can refuse to treat these patients. Also, patients can refuse to be covered by a government program.

Your "50% of health care under government control" figure is very misleading, as it refers to "% of lives covered" rather than "% of costs covered". The system is heavily regulated, but is not yet under government control.

But the criminal class is trying its damndest to make it so.

Any attempt to reform the system has been met with outrage from the Greediest Generation.
