Her picture is on the front page of the New York Post today with the headline, "I'm No Monica." My best guess is that "journalistic ethics" did not play any part in handling this story. What probably happened is that she and Kerry did have an affair, but the big media didn't have any interest in bringing it to light, same as with Clinton's accusers other than Gennifer Flowers. It wouldn't have seen the light of day at all if Kerry wasn't running for President and there was no Internet. Given what was reported in the British press -statements from Polier's father and friends - and subsequent denials, I think Polier and Kerry managed to put a lid on things because they both simply had too much to lose. Sleazy, yeah, but the varied coverage was more driven by agendas and axes to grind than "journalistic ethics."
