Fidelity reported today that they now own 80,774,781 shares of ARMHY - that's over a 1,000% increase from the 6,895,200 shares they owned at the end of 2003Q3.

Shows you why mutual funds play to mediocrity in returns. The time to buy ARMHY was long ago. Now is jumping on the bandwagon. Funny that I still own a ton of it, but I don't think I'm going to be buying anymore, at least for awhile. I guess from hereonin my ARM gains won't exceed Fidelity's gains. Bummer.

Whether or not Fidelity getting into the game is smart money jumping on a good thing at last, I don't know. Mutual funds buy companies for a heck of a lot of reasons, and it could be that they want to emphasize the wireless portion of the portfolio or something.

But that is an awful lot of buying which can't be all bad.
