Feb. 17 (Bloomberg) -- The U.K. said terrorist attacks may be imminent in Saudi Arabia after receiving information that operations are in the final stages of preparation.

The U.K.'s Foreign Office issued a travel alert on its Web site late yesterday saying the threat includes residential compounds in Saudi cities.

``Following terrorist attacks in Riyadh in May and November 2003, we believe that terrorists remain determined to carry out further attacks in Saudi Arabia,' the Foreign Office said in its statement. ``These may be in the final stages of preparation.'
