I would have VOTED for Powell over Gore At he time I would have went with Gore. After the first year or so of Powells service to Junior I would have voted for Powell. He stood up for what he believed and generally told the truth as he saw it. After a while the rest of the Bush gang got to him and convinced him to tow the line. Since then all you will hear him say is what Cheney and Rove (and whoever else is making the real decisions) tell him to say. He is now a yes man and has lost most of his credibility with me. He is still the best man in the administration even at that.
