Live in the now!

McCain and Kerry are friends.
McCain admires Kerry.
McCain has defended Kerry against the outrageous smears.

we both came back and realized that there were a lot of difficulties in the prosecution of that war."

- If the protests had started earlier or been louder they may have produced a better result. Who actually would have voted to go to Vietnam if they didn't have to?

- Did the protests over the war prevent future wars and an entire generation of young people who never had to go to war. Isn't that a good thing?

- We are not looking for a saint here, we're looking for a better alternative to Shrub. If Kerry doesn't make it through the wringer, my dog is still willing to jump into the fray. My dog will simply sleep for 4 years in the Oval Office which is still better than what Bush plans to do.
