You think it's the truth. That is your belief, not fact. You are willing to sacrifice your rights and the rights of others because of fear.

It is possible to wait for stronger evidence than what we had and still stop the threat. This idea that once something is imminent it is unstoppable is the lie that is perpetuated by the scare tactic.

"How has the patriot act hurt you? "
So far it hasn't hurt me at all. But that may change if posting anti bush statements on the internet makes the govt consider me a potential threat. Then I can be held without a lawyer and without charges begin filed with no limit to the amount of time. Why is that a necesary part of the patriot act. Hardly patriotic to undermine the constitution.

I don;t think Iraq shuold be left alone. I think you could have removed Saddam and nuetralized the regime without going to war. It would have taken a persistent international effort that would not allow him to kick the instpectors out ( a big mistake by clinton), would not allow him to side step intl law. With constant and unwavering intent we could have worn him down and kept him in check without the need for thousnads of deaths, theirs and ours.

We shall see how well the Iuaqia respond the gentle yoke of US persuasion to accept a western style democracy.

What you side step is the possibility that your govt is going too far in it's measures to protect it's citizens. The how is important. The end does not justify the means.
