Well jeeze Mr. longnshort, they could have at least taught you to put a comma after "yes" when you're replying. Yes, private (makes better grammatical sense). But, now I'm the one splitting hairs. Everyone needs to chill out. :-0

Not everyone goes to college, that's an exaggeration to the max. Only about 30% of the U.S. population has a college degree. It might seem like everyone to you, because you probably are surrounded by college educated people. That's certainly the case with my friends and family, and I tend to forget that a majority of people out there don't have college educations. Reality is a lot starker than it often appears. The reality is, a high school that sends 95% of its students to college is doing something right. There are quite a lot of public high schools in wealthy northeastern towns that send high percentages of their kids to college. Perhaps in other regions it's a different story. I know my cousin lived in North Carolina for a time and he said the public schools down there were horrible.
