i disagree. Bush needs independents to win and cheney, rummy and ashy not so popular there. Where does cheney help bush in a close race. Dad was done in my economy, scanner and quayle. Remember "if my 11 year old daughter was raped, i would pray but make her have the baby" exaggeraton. Cheney has the halliburton sleaze on him and ridge has the successful homeland defense thing going for him. mike

One more point about veeps. Giuliani too mercurial and Frist's hair is made of plastic. Someone else on this thread suggested ridge first, i believe or i may have heard his name on Hardball. Chris Matthews has talked about veep replacement too. Bush may win without a change but so far he has matched dads tax hike with somewhat unpopular war with unpop explanation for wmds. Looking back Bush41 may have beaten clinton if qualye had been replace. mike
