in fact they are taxed twice That is another of the great distortions of the republicans. Dividends are not taxed any more times than other money transfers. It is similar to the money you pay the grocer for a loaf of bread. It was taxed when you earned it, and the grocer will have to pay tax on his profit too. Nearly all transfers are taxed. If you want an issue to complain about, complain about the sales tax you have to pay on already taxed beer. That, at least, is really a tax on tax. TP
