The difference is much deeper than that. There is a difference between worshiping god and agreeing how best to do it.

If you ever find a "christian" who claims his god is the same as the muslim god, you likely have not found a Christian but a heathen. The muslim God has characteristics that are markedly different from those of the Christian God, amongst the most important of which is that he cannot have a Son Who is God Almighty.
