The main point I am trying to make Dan is that we are witnessing a very unusual time period during which all major investment catagories are going up in the face of a falling dollar. Stocks, Bonds, Real Estate and Commodities are all rising as the dollar falls. This is very unusual...and I am not smart enough to know what it means. I do believe that this trend is getting towards its end...so the trick is to determine what asset catagories will continue to outperform. A stronger dollar is usually associated with higher interest rates and inflation. So, a stronger dollar does not look good for Stocks, Bonds and Real Estate. Further weakness in the dollar can lead to its own set of problems. I don't have the answers...I am just saying to be wary of the concept that we have returned to a secular bull and a thriving economy. If we have, wonderful! If not, people need a percentage of their assets in some type of hedge...i.e. a bear mutual fund or a commodities related fund.

Dan...here again today, we have an example of dollar strength leading to a stock market sell off. It really is very interesting to watch. Something strange is going on in my opinion.
