To put it simply, If SGI can't make a profits it can survive!

It hasn't proved in a LONG time, it can make a profit.

When the market tanks, SGI will be one of the first to go.

I attended the investors meeting last Friday in Boston. SGI has amazing tech. Sgi has interconnect technology that no one else can touch. In the space where folks need 8 and greater CPUs they are extremely cost competitive. The altix line brings down the costs and opens new solution markets. But it is not clear to me that SGI has any strategic plans in sales and marketing to find new business. They have wonderful engineering, and maybe for the next quarter or so that will make the difference. But constant march of tech may swallow any real ability for them to grow.

I'd expect the price of shares to recover above 3.50. But I would watch closely the numbers for this quarter.
