CR on second thoughts, you may be right. It is not is Kerry's interest to prove Edwards a liar. In fact he should let Edwards' claim stand and it will stand him in good stead if he chooses Edwards as his running mate.

but you pointed out something equally important on Bush a while back, that is do these candidates have the ability to change when different facts present themselves. Who cares who voted for Nafta years ago, it was sold with the promise of new opportunities. For a while there in the 90s things seemed to work out at least on a national scale. Now, things aren't working because first and foremost the maquilladora towns are not raising in terms of standard of living, there has now been so much offshoring that there is no work left in the USA no matter what you do, etc.

Its ok that somebody voted for Nafta the issue is are they digging their heels in the ground and refusing to budge now that we have a crisis on our hands like Bush? The dems are all willing to revisit the treaties at least.
