Epson Industrial (Taiwan) aims to more than double its revenues to NT$50 billion in 2007 from NT$24 billion projected for this year, company general manager Sure Lee said yesterday. Full story - Feb 17

The 2004 estimated revenues include NT$13 billion generated by Epson’s operations in Taiwan and NT$11 billion worth of products that the company’s parent, Seiko Epson, will purchase from Taiwan this year, Lee said.

By 2007, revenues generated from Taiwan are expected to hit NT$22 billion and the total purchases by the parent company will reach NT$18 billion. In addition, Epson Taiwan is expected to generate NT$10 billion in non-operating profits in 2007 for services rendered to Seiko Epson’s other overseas branches.

Epson Taiwan’s performance leads Seiko Epson’s other overseas branches and its revenues account for around 5% of the Japanese company’s overall annual revenues, Lee said.

For this reason, the parent company has asked Epson Taiwan to assist other branches improve their sales, Lee explained.
