"Would you encourage your son to be gay?"

I've been around long enough to know that he'll be what he'll be no matter what I do. I can't make him gay, just as I can't make him straight. 99.999999% of parents, I'm sure, would prefer to see their kids grow up straight, but some kids just don't grow up that way, with no amount of goading and threatening to be otherwise.

No one chooses to be heterosexual or gay, you are who you are. Many gay folk, perhaps most, go through some stage in their life where they hate the fact that they are gay and try numerous therapies or follow religious avenues to change themselves and they always, always... fail.
