"For many years McCain held Kerry's actions against him because, while McCain was a POW in the Hanoi Hilton, Kerry was organizing veterans back home in the U.S. to protest the war." If it wasn't for brave Americans like Kerry trying to bring an end to the insanity in Vietnam, McCain would still be in the Hanoi Hilton. 50,000+ dead, and for what? The Vietnam war was a mistake. The fact that it was ended was a blessing. How many more would have died if the protests of such a pointless and bloody war had been muted? While I respect the folks that served in Vietnam, I also respect the folks that exercised their American right to protest the war. Orca
