40k annual tuition/fees

It is incredible to me that Duke can get it. I am too used to California, where the easiest route is two years of JC, almost free, and then two years at the University level. The Fee structure in California was just raised, and needs to be raised again.

The only problem with the two/two system is that JC is so easy that a lot of the kids have trouble adjusting to the difference in study levels. JC is California tends to be "continuation High School." The last two years of High School in California can be "fun time" if the kid wants to take it easy.
