1&2. Balancing the budget becomes important for the next term regardless of who the pres is. It was not important when we were trying to prevent depression in the last admin. I dont understand why dems dont get how severe things were in 2002 because of what 9/11 had done to an already fragile eco. The loss of jobs will hopefully right itself in the next admin. Manufacturing jobs have been lost for as long as i can remember. Good new jobs in all fields are whats necessary. By election day there will be jobs because God is on Bushes side. <ggg> please note the g's--that was a joke.
3. please give me a break with the rhetoric but yes world wide good will needs to be restored. And that can happen with bush. Kissing chiracs arse is not the way to do that, by the way. There already is a growing confluence of interest among western nations in the post saddam world. They are pissed because they were dissed by bush. And we are pissed because they didnt support us and engaged in the bush is worst than saddam stuff. Both sides will forgive and forget politically if not personally.
4. we agree--i never liked the homeland word either. US is fine with me.

Red,

The Senate overwhelmingly (83-15) voted for PNTR for China in September 2000 and President Clinton signed it into law. This law included the US's agreement for China's entry into the WTO.

Weren't some of these people Democrats? :-)

And oh yes - Kerry voted yes on PNTR and against using sanctions for weapons sales or human rights violations.
