BS. It was Kennedy and Johnson trying to micro-manage the war from the oval office, playing politics...not playing to win.

What were we fighting for? The Vietnam war was without a clear purpose. We had no clear objective.

Kennedy ordered an end to the war and had already ordered the first troop withdrawal before he was shot. Johnson escalated the war, but he did so with no clear objective or plan. When Nixon came to office he kept the madness going. Expanded the bombing to Cambodia and Laos. All with no clear objective.

50,000+ dead. Thousands more wounded. No clear objective. Thank god it was ended, and the end came quicker than it would have because of Americans voicing their opposition to the war.
