Nixon ended the war, but not until after he escalated the war. I'm glad that Nixon ended the war. The one good thing the man did. But he ended the war in the face of huge opposition to it. Nixon was in favor of the war, in the beginning.

You're wrong about Kennedy. Johnson bears the responsibility for escalating the war, which he did under the guise of the Gulf of Tonkin incident. Johnson was an ass.
