Jake, No question. Of course, there was a time when our politicians with privilege were courageous and joined the common folk in war and service to their country. Like his dad did. Like JFK did. Even Tricky Dick served his full enlistment, though he didn't have a lot of connections in those days. I'm not saying it's the only test or even a deal killing test. But it is a test of character and Dubya is lacking.

It does gives me some heartburn to see a shirker suddenly discover there is no war he doesn't love, as long as it's just the po' folk who get killed in it.
