>>Problem is all the jobs are being created in India, China, Mexico, etc.etc.

First off, I think using the word "all" is a bit of an exaggeration. Secondly what would you propose?

The Social Security welfare queens continue to get fat and arrogant on your money because you won't take it BACK and allow it to create JOBS instead of being wasted on those sloths.

So don't complain. You get-as they say-what you pay for...

Dean is NOW officially Rest In Peace --- and kerryboy:
<<Kerry is considered a classic Massachusetts liberal. The liberal Americans for Democratic Action advocacy group, which scores lawmakers on their voting records, even gave Kerry a 2-point lead over Sen. Ted Kennedy in voting the liberal line in the last session of Congress -- 92 percent versus 90 percent for Kennedy.>>>

Washington, D.C.: Those who want government action to stem overseas outsourcing are pretty vague in their plans, at least as far as I can tell. I've heard some talk about making changes to corporate tax laws. The Communications Workers of America claims Kerry supports a bill that would require call centers to give callers the option of speaking to a US based technician.

Are these viable methods or just a cover to let them claim they are "doing something."

Steven Pearlstein: Not sure its a good idea to give consumers the choice of where they get their help. Seems like it takes regulation a bit too far. Presumably the American caller knows when she's getting an American voice and when not, and that is probably what is most important: letting consumers know. There is a bill to require the call center employees to indicate what country they are in, but it seems to me that is really unnecessary.

Ann, you don't want to write Bush - you need to talk to Milton Friedman.

Democrats Ponder What to Do About Jobs

Democratic presidential candidates have made the loss of U.S. jobs to international competition the centerpiece of their campaigns, but even some of the candidates' economic advisers acknowledge that remedies offered -- such as closing tax loopholes on overseas income and offering tax breaks for domestic hiring -- would probably do little to staunch the bleeding.
