A fine and scary article. The next step - how to recognize the hurricane's approach or what to do when it arrives. There's a bunch of "the hurricane is coming" pundits, its time to discuss the finer points of battening down the hatches, refueling, securing assets, oiling the fittings, and finding the port in the storm. It would be even better to hear ideas on how to sail these waters, as they predict it is about to become an extreme sport

However, there is one major jamming point to an economic meltdown. The November election. The President is barely hanging on to a possible victory now. His admin is keenly aware that an economic recovery is all they have to hang their hats on, and who knows how far they will go to create the illusion of "Let the Good Times Roll"???? If they lied about WMD's, what's to stop them from skewing economic data? Personally, I think William is right, don't fight the trend. Go with the flow. Now after November or early next year, all hell could break loose. BWTFDIK? Baton
