"I think they could do all the wire tapping and eavesdropping they want but it should require rwview and oversight by other groups within the govt" I think it is reviewed by the judicial branch, but that is not exactly outside of the gov't. Look up the specific laws as that should be a good exercise if you are going to law school. Then judge for yourself whether you or other innocents are in danger instead of having the ACLU filter it for you. They think NAMBLA is a fine organization protected by the 1st ammendment. They also want the word "Christmas" stricken out of school calendars as a "violation" of the 1st ammendment re church and state. They are doing much to take away good honest American's right to express religion to further their own radical agenda. Don't trust them is my opinion. The piece you sent was definately a scare tactic with their bias all over it.
