5:48PM ADC issues below-consensus Q2 forecast; shares fall (ADCT) by Carolyn Pritchard
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- ADC Telecommunications (ADCT) shares fell more than 10 percent late Wednesday after the maker of communications equipment issued a forecast below Wall Street's expectations. ADC said it expects to break even on a pro forma basis in its second quarter, on sales of $175 million. Analysts expect earnings of 6 cents a share on sales of $187.1 million, according to Reuters Research. The company also said it made $2.4 million in its fiscal first quarter, breaking even on a per-share basis, vs. a loss of $41.5 million, or 5 cents a share, in comparable period last year. Sales fell to $168.5 million from $194.6 million. ADC stock lost 35 cents in after-hours trade, or 10.3 percent, to $3.04.
