a lot of people agree with Mankiw, except people like me that are inside of offshoring, watching all this very expensive US developed IP get shipped offshore the minute any large company can get their hands on it. When Mankiw says offshoring will create "better jobs" for USA, and companies like Google and Juniper are offshoring R&D I wonder what he means? Personally I think the Juniper R&D lead in India is a better job than working at walmart here, even though they might pay the same. Seriously.
