I've never tried running dual operating systems myself but it's my understanding that it's not a problem. You just need to make a new partition to put it on and install some kind of boot manager. The most popular non-destructive program to do this is Partition Magic from PowerQuest. There may be free alternatives that I am unaware of. You might wait for other opinions.
