What can I expect when I run it? Will Firefox 0.8 grab all my Firebird settings, Larry? I'm looking for any heads up you'd care to provide. TIA A curious thing happened to me with ZoneAlarm. It would let me dial-up and connect but would not let Firebird online . I was completely frozen out. I looked everywhere but there was nothing wrong with my settings and nothing I could do to correct the problem. The only thing I did in a previous session was work on trying to nuke Windows Messenger with a friend over my shoulder helping me through the process. So, I had to nuke ZA, which wasn't an easy job. I logged onto my Admin account (I never connect to the Internet unless I'm logged on with a Limited User account!) and tried to use Add/Remove programs to get rid of ZoneAlarm. True Vector, or something like that, refused to give up the ghost. I had to go to All Programs/ZoneAlarm and use ZoneAlarm's uninstall. That did the trick. After consultation, I was encouraged to fire up XP's firewall, which I did. It's probably been discussed before here, but what's the consensus on XP's firewall? Then I became my friend's crash-test-dummy for a program he'd never run that comes from the Czech Republic, or so I was told, called the Kerio Personal Firewall 4 kerio.com Anybody here heard any Kerio glory/horror stories? It sure looks good on screen! A feature (?) demands password authentication for every change. So far, so good. I'll only say this, "I don't think I'm in Placebo-ville, that's for sure." 'Nuff said. Dave, you can look back at your screen now.
