Compass Group agrees to buy Creative Host Services February 18, 2004 16:53:56 (ET) SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. subsidiary of Compass Group Plc ((CPG.L)), the world's biggest catering firm, said on Wednesday it agreed to buy Creative Host Services Inc. (CHST,Trade) for $3.40 a share in cash, picking up more than 100 concession facilities at airports. Compass Group USA Investments LLP, the subsidiary of U.K.-based Compass Group, said the management team of San Diego, California-based Creative Host would remain in place after the acquisition. "Creative Host's management team and track record of growth in the airport concessions market fits nicely with our existing airport operations," said Gary Green, president and chief executive of Compass Group North America in a statement.
