Interesting point, thanks. I think we should remember that even though those suckers like to overshoot - sometimes, yes, they "hound" - and sometimes they "fail". From the POV of a wedge, SMH trading below 40.40 would be very negative.

Of all the indicies, $SOX is one of (if not THE) most cyclical. It's interesting to note that, in the last decade not ONE up cycle has lasted more than eighteen months:

We're now in month seventeen off the last lows, but who's counting, eh?
