The classified data was much more cautious about the possibility of WMD. The administration chose to ignore that data. You haven't made a sufficent argument to support that charge. Yes, but we supported Saddam in his fight with Iran right from 1980. The support from the US in 1980 wasn't very signifigant compared the scale of the war as a whole. Why we think that we can support someone like Saddam We supported Stalin in WWII. Sometimes you support an odious thug when he is fighting against other odious thugs. Tim
