You could have saved yourself a lot of grief and me a couple of accusations, if only you had actually taken the time to read and understand what I wrote rather than go off in your head as to how anti-American I must be to refer to the Geneva Convention. You seem to making an assumption that most of them are innocent Afghan peasants who picked up a rifle when they saw Americans. I can't say "most". I can and do say "some". We know the nationalities of the detainees and the number one nationality is Saudi. Few are Afghans. Really? How do you know THAT, given that they don't really declare who is in Guantanamo and that at least 21 Afghans [18 below and three kids we spoke of earlier] have already been freed (meaning they were in there for more than a year already)? iht.com My assumption is that armed foreigners in Afghanistan in 2002 = Al Qaeda There are prisoners in Guantanamo captured in Pakistan. Remember, I told you again and again that there was a bounty on people they claimed were Al-Qaeda and turned over to Americans? I did not ask you which groups you think the Geneca Convention was not created to "protect and enable". Again, YOU DO NOT KNOW GUANTANAMO DETAINEES ARE ALL AL-QAEDA!
