At this point, I don't see anyone amongst the democrats that can bring in the southern vote. Certainly, not Clinton or Clark. Edwards possibly. Gebhardt unlikely. Graham nah. Breaux of LA would be helpful - but is too moderate for liberal Kerry. Richardson of NM could help with the hispanic vote. for whatever the GWB shortcomings are - his strengths extend far beyond Kerry's. I believe Kerry is toast. He just doesn't know it yet.

After all, these are the people who can't figure out how to vote.
Are you still kicking great grandmothers? :-)

Just look at AS's blind adoration.
I'll pass, thank you. I'd rather eat grubs on "Survivor".

such folks may vote for Kerry only because he's not Bush.
Oh, they are actively promoting that idea. "ANYBODY BUT BUSH!!!", remember?

I have to confess that many of my own votes
have been against a candidate rather than
for his/her opponent.

Only "many"? :-)

That and the liberal press promoting Kerry and Hillary every chance they get.

Hillary was on Catie Couric a few days ago for the 100th time, at least. Between Catie, and Oprah, Hillary gets more air time than President Bush has ever had.
