The rightwing is making up Fonda stories. These are the same guys who call McCain a "traitor", fabricate sex scandals and doctor photos of Fonda and Kerry staanding side by side. Just very dishonest individuals who are frankly un-American, the worst of the worst dirty tricks types who could give a rat's a** about truth-telling. Everyone knows Kerry wored responsibly within the system to try and end the war. After the initial protests he entered public life and left the war protest movement behind. Nixon and Erlichman (?) in the Watergate tapes called Kerry a "baby-killer' and planned to destroy him. Apparently, this same mentality survives to this day on the far right.
