Yes, it was nice when DJs made a difference. There is an alternative rock station in the DC area that used to be family owned, and it was great for idiosyncratic playlists, until it went corporate about a decade ago. Then he family started a smaller station, but it has limited range. In its day, the original, WHFS, had a lot of power, covered a lot of states, especially at night, and was very influential.........
