Nope. Au contraire, I am comfortable and am not threatened by gay marriages. That is because you are shortsighted. There are a lot of things that I find are more serious threats to marriage -- among them, the high divorce-rates, We warned you against this, decades ago, just as we now warn you against this new devilry you are trying to spread across the country. the flippancy of TV shows like "bachelorette", "marry a millionaire" etc… We warned you against this too, decades ago, but you ridiculed us as “prudes”. Well now you must suffer with these things you now consider a “threat.” They will only worsen. When you made the decision to pollute your lives with filth, I saw the facts and made my personal choice against it, since you would not hear sound counsel. That was some twenty years ago. I don’t even know about shows called "bachelorette" and "marry a millionaire". I have just asked my kids if they know of these shows, and they do not. When we travel and flip on the tube, we literally marvel at how cheap and shallow TV really is, and how images flicker so quickly, one to another, without ever accomplishing anything. Your children suffer from A.D.D. and obesity because of the bad choices you and your ilk made decades ago. My children, on the other hand, can go for very long periods of time in focused thought, sitting quietly, listening intently to and participating in conversation around them. I have raised nearly ten children, none of whom have the defects so common in your own children. Clearly your shows and abominable cultural choices do not threaten me at all. What threatens me is when leftists aim to force me to accept homosexuality in the public law, in business, in the tax code, in health policy, etc. That represents a huge threat to my ability to live free and in accord with human nature. Goofy TV shows and other savagery are nothing but products that I may (and do) reject by choice. You are shortsighted indeed. So, if gays want to get married, I say more power to them! You say this only because you lack the power between the ears to see the implications of your decision. But I am not so ignorant. Once again, we have warned against this thing you are trying to do. And you leave me no option but to treat the entire country as a product that I may accept or reject. That is tragic for me because I love the country. But I love myself and what is good more than even the country. Once again, I see the damage you are about to cause. Twenty years from now, you will be an utterly hopeless mess and you will not know why. Gotta run...
