Bush made a smart move by getting the NASCAR fans on his side. I saw a study where NASCAR fans have more product loyalty by 2 to 1 over even basketball. Ie. you like #8 then you'll be twice as likely to drink Bud than a Michael Jordan fan would be to buy Fruit of the Loom. Getting the loyal voters.

Remember the Super Bowl back around '98 where they had to take the Winston banner down because if it showed up in the picture during a kick or pass the network would be fined for cigarette advertising? Even Clinton/Gore never messed with the Winston Cup Series.
