Therefore I will propose Bush will be forced to release some spr oil soon, probably before Kerry steals his thunder and suggests it.

There is none to release.
US unleaded gas inventories are at record lows.
I believe the US thought prices would be falling now due to stability in Iraq.

...that you are asking and have weighted my portfolio heavily towards oil. Sure, I've got some gold and silver. But, even my "mining" position (BHP.AX) derives a third of its revs. from Oil.

Oil is the only "solution" I can find to the maze of Inflation and Deflation, going forward.

More broadly, most here are in the Deflationary Camp. I'll describe briefly my position: We are operating in a Deflationary Paradigm. Inside of that paradigm, there will be inflation-panics and inflation outbreaks like large but isolated fires on the general plain. But until something changes in the paradigm, we're deep in the Deflationary Soup --and all the real trouble to be experienced will express itself there.
