One year ago I began to use the Netscape v7.1 browser. Since then I have not had 1 (one!!) pop-up. Many internet surfers have come to realize that the use of MS Internet Explorer and Outlook Express are dangerous.

I use Netscape, don't even have IE or OE on my machine, use Zone Alarm as a firewall, and am very careful where I post my email address. Also, I have several different email address accounts set up and if one gets compromised (lots of SPAM) I will just "throw" it away and cease to use it.

My approach is not for everyone it seems, but I sure don't have the same problems I see many others complaining about.
