Hey, so where's all the proof that homosexual marriages are gonna be the end of marriage and families? No one can offer “proof” to a leftist if that proof supports the truth. The Kurtz article contains more than enough evidence to help a reasonable person accept Kurtz’s conclusions. But leftists have proven repeatedly that they will only accept proof when it supports a lie. That is why leftists cite Sodomite historians who show “proof” of the lie that the Roman Catholic Church (!) once routinely married Sodomites; but they reject the proof of the truth that their Sodomite historians are engaging in advocacy history that is quite unscholarly. It is why leftists cite Sodomite “scientists” who show “proof” of the genetic basis for homosexuality; but they reject the obvious proof of the truth that no such genetic basis has been legitimately verified. Simon Levay, Dean Hammer and Al Kinsey were/are all unscrupulous Sodomites with the agenda of lying for homosexuality, and yet leftists constantly, without any critical thought at all, submit them as “proof” of their lies. So, Kevin, I am completely disinterested in offering you, or any other leftist, proof of anything. Such a thing is utterly futile where you ungodly heathens are concerned. Was it in that link you cited? Oops, guess not. Well you guess wrongly, as usual. To any rational mind, Kurtz convincingly shows a strong relationship between the destruction of real marriage and the acceptance of homosexual marriage. His argument in a nutshell is that several morally destructive forces are at work in Scandinavia that help reinforce the erosion of the Scandinavian social fabric. Homosexual marriage is a significant one of these forces, being both an effect of the existing erosion and then becoming an enhancement of it. And he cites more than enough data in his article to support his position. If you wish to look at the actual studies themselves, you ought to get off your butt and find them. Kurtz has given you enough information to verify them. In truth, the logic of his position would be evident to anyone who would give the issue a moment of clear-headedness (a thing leftists ostensibly are powerless to do). It is obvious that marriage is dying in Scandinavia. It is also clear that wherever marriage is in decline, homosexual marriage and/or public recognition of homosexual “unions” exist. Where the institution of marriage is strong, attitudes against homosexual marriage are also strong. This does not support causality. It simply acknowledges that these relationships exist. The ratio between marriage strength and homosexual acceptance is very likely influenced by such things as religion. But where such forces as religion are unable to mitigate the destructive assaults against marriage, homosexual marriage becomes imaginable. We then see by logic that homosexual marriage is a result of decay and not necessarily a cause of it. The grave problem here is that it is unreasonable to accept that a change such as homosexual marriage, that becomes imaginable only after marriage has been separated from parenthood, will fail to reinforce that very separation. That is how homosexual marriage becomes not merely a result of general marital decline, but also a cause of it. I do not write this for you, Kevin, because you clearly cannot think. I write it for any reasoned person who is able to hold multiple values in mind, linking them honestly and acknowledging their ramifications whatever they are. So, show me where the data shows that the 'major' reason for the ruination of the institute of marriage is due to gay marriages. You really ought to stop lying so much. No one ever said homosexual marriage was “the major reason for the ruination” of marriage. Kurtz shows convincingly that it is a result of social decay that when implemented, becomes a destructive force itself. I won't hold my breath. I almost wish you would. But I’m a kind man…
